How to Subscribe Using an RSS Feed

What is an RSS Feed?

An RSS feed is a web link that automatically delivers new CGN Articles directly to your podcast app. When you subscribe using an RSS feed URL, new episodes will appear in your app as soon as they're published so you don't need to manually check for updates.

Step 1: Copy the RSS Feed Link

First, copy the RSS feed URL provided by clicking the "Copy RSS Link" button on the audio player.

Step 2: Add to Your Podcast App

Choose your podcast app below and follow the instructions:

Apple Podcasts (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open the Apple Podcasts app
  2. Tap the Library tab at the bottom
  3. Tap Edit in the top right corner
  4. Tap Add a Show by URL
  5. Paste the RSS feed link and tap Subscribe

Spotify

Note: Spotify doesn't support custom RSS feeds on mobile. You'll need to use a computer:

  1. Open Spotify on your computer
  2. Go to Settings (click your profile, then Settings)
  3. Scroll down to Show Unavailable Songs in Playlists
  4. Under Podcast, paste your RSS feed URL
  5. The podcast will sync to your mobile app

Alternative: Use a different podcast app that supports RSS feeds directly.

Overcast (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open the Overcast app
  2. Tap the + button
  3. Tap Add URL
  4. Paste the RSS feed link
  5. Tap Subscribe

Pocket Casts

  1. Open the Pocket Casts app
  2. Tap the Search icon
  3. Tap the three dots menu in the top right
  4. Select Add podcast by URL
  5. Paste the RSS feed link and tap Subscribe

Castro (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open the Castro app
  2. Tap Search at the bottom
  3. Tap the search bar
  4. Paste the RSS feed link
  5. Tap the result and then Subscribe

Podcast Addict (Android)

  1. Open the Podcast Addict app
  2. Tap the + button
  3. Select Add a podcast
  4. Tap RSS feed URL
  5. Paste the RSS feed link and tap Add

Downcast (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open the Downcast app
  2. Tap Subscriptions
  3. Tap the + icon in the top right
  4. Select Subscribe by URL
  5. Paste the RSS feed link and tap Done

AntennaPod (Android - Free & Open Source)

  1. Open the AntennaPod app
  2. Tap Add Podcast
  3. Select Add podcast by RSS address
  4. Paste the RSS feed link
  5. Tap Confirm

Stitcher

  1. Open the Stitcher app
  2. Tap Search
  3. In the search bar, paste the RSS feed link
  4. Tap the podcast result
  5. Tap Subscribe

TuneIn Radio

  1. Open the TuneIn app
  2. Tap your profile icon
  3. Select Add Custom URL
  4. Paste the RSS feed link
  5. Tap Add

PlayerFM (Android & Web)

  1. Open PlayerFM
  2. Tap the Search icon
  3. Tap Enter a podcast feed URL
  4. Paste the RSS feed link
  5. Tap Subscribe

Troubleshooting

The feed won't load

Make sure you've copied the complete RSS feed URL, including "https://" at the beginning. Try closing and reopening your podcast app, then paste the link again.

I don't see new episodes

Most apps check for new episodes automatically, but you can manually refresh by pulling down on the podcast page. Some apps only check every few hours.

My app isn't listed

Most podcast apps support RSS feeds. Look for options like "Add by URL," "Subscribe by URL," "Add custom feed," or "Import podcast" in your app's settings or search function.
